Written in 2019.
The title came from a New Zealand National party politician in an election campaign.
In 2002 as leader of the opposition, he lead the party to it's worst ever defeat only to be ousted from the job.
However due to resignation he was gifted the job of Prime Minister over a decade later.
In the final leaders debate heading into the election he was asked why after previous failure to win an election the public should vote for him.
He replied because “I got up again”.
I wasn’t convinced & not enough other New Zealanders were either.
He is now retired with a Knighthood.
The actual lyrics have nothing to do with the above.
They’re based on my own distasteful experiences.
